Are We in A Housing Bubble?

in #steemit7 years ago

The price of housing has been going up and up! If you check the US real Estate index we are at or just about the 2007 high from the last crash.

What looks bad for the housing markets is full time jobs keeps going down and down, the average savings accounts is still below under $1000.00 dollars, the Fed is increasing rates, and to top it all off our inflation and debt levels have been increasing.

If we are in a housing bubble what actions should Americans should take?

these are just some ways I was thinking of

  1. you can short Credit default swaps, or buy the ETF.
  2. sell or rent out your property
  3. downsize
  4. short the real estate market.
  5. hedge you bets on cryptocurriencies
  6. if this is a deflationary crash, keep spare cash to buy gold and silver for the up swing.
  7. get ride of bad debt like credit cards and use the execs money for necessary bills.

so what do you think? are we in a housing bubble?

thanks for reading!!!

thats a very good way to say yes we are lol, I just wonder how much will it crash, 50%, 60%, 70%? we shall see.

If your on the coast (as I am) ..you might think yes, if your in the midwest where houses are selling below cost to build them, not so much. Dont forget ..people always need somewhere to live..its not optional. Your either gonna rent or buy at some point

yes youn have to live somewhere which is always good for cashflow but the prices are far to inflated to be normal and you now its bad when ppl are movie in and not even putting 3.5% down, free money has its consequences

I guess Id say its not just houses..food prices up too, and other things. Inflation might be worse than we think! Thanks on your comments @goldsilverguide!
