Im glad to hear you have stopped drinking, don't drink that poison ever again.

The modern flat Earth theory phenomena is a reinterpretation and reform of the perspective of existing outside or above the planet. The Earth globe perspective as you point out is wrong and any decent cartographer can tell you that a lot of work must be done to establish an accurate perspective of even a small piece of the World let alone the whole thing.

My opinion of the disconnection between peoples radically different versions of reality is that it must come from subjective reinterpretations of definitions of words. This type of creative epistemology prevents people from actually understanding what other people have to offer.

For example, the quantum positioning experiment, while it is absurd and irrelevant to our lives, for some the interpretation of this experiment continues to define their complete consciousness of the Earth as a self serving mechanism, this is a form of apotheosis accepted by modern culture as normal. For me, hearing anyone call the conclusions gathered from studying the positioning of subatomic particles truth is making a mockery of the word truth.
