I disagree. If you're a minnow and still spending most of your time in the comments you're doing it wrong. By the time you're a minnow or getting close you should be writing posts. I can spend all day trying to comment on as many posts as possible. I can take an hour for each post write 3 posts and almost be guaranteed $1 per post. It's a good rule of thumb, but will cause burn out (I've experienced it) by spending so much time on commenting with such a little ROI.
I was a minnow until last week.
For months (3/4/5) I'd get less than $1 with a post, and sometimes get $10+ (with the most being $50 in June) for a single comment.
Using steem.supply, I'd see the post/comment payout ratio slowly creep from 95% comment rewards, to now, 95% posts.
