Nice post. I started yesterday and so far my screens look the same so I'll take that as confirmation that I'm doing it right. It would be nice to see a screenshot of the last steps, the witness queue, and what it looks like when steem is actually paid.
This is what the console looks like after the miner finds a proof of work (POW). It shows 6 hps. It stays like this for about an hour and a half while you wait in the witness queue. If you go to https://steemd.com and click on WItnesses you should see your account on the right in the witness queue.
