Gktown's Steemit Journey: Part 2
Today is day #4 of my Steemit Journey....
@gktown: I welcome you all to my blog and hope you enjoy reading my posts. As always if you enjoy this post and it brings value to you, please share it with others by resteeming, or sharing on social media.
My name is Gktown, as we covered in the last part of this series, I'm one part consumer psychologist, one part applied ethicist, yet 100% entrepreneur. I am here to help with Tips and Tricks regarding productivity, marketing, sales, ecommerce, startups and also some
hilariousfunny?terrible jokes.
Every steemit account can be viewed as a self-contained marketing experiment. Every good experiment begins by taking baseline data.
Baseline Data
Account: gktown
Age: 4 Days
Followers: 36 Lovely Folks
Following: 58 Bloggers I Love
Rep: 45 Super Special Steemit Points
Posting Behavior: 4 times per day. Outreach - Send posts to network, steemit chat, discord & steemit subreddits
Plans: Forward posts using tag based RSS to social channels. Meet more people within Steemit & continue to produce the best content possible for my account.
Notes: Longer posts seem to have higher curation trail targeting. Single item posts seem to be unpopular along with attributed reposts.
Strategy: The 4 Hour Article
My Journey Continued
I want to say that I have been working hard on outreach, but that would be a lie. Outreach on steemit could be attributed as play-time. I am having a lot of fun interacting with and meeting new people. I really feel like I am getting to know people which was an aspect that I never felt in any other social platform. That said, since it is fun, I have been spending a good amount of time on the steemit and steemit.chat. If you are new, make an account on steemit.chat Use your steemit username so people can go back and forth with ease and don't promote in General. There is another steemit chat available on discord. I know @sykochica is part of a larger podcast that streems live. see what I did thereI'm not funny. Steemit chat is a huge help for getting your posts viewed, upvoted and maybe even resteemed if you're lucky.
If you're reading this and you have the link to a steemit related chat, please leave the link in the comments
While I'm at it, I may as well list a few other places to post blog summary & links.
Reddit is another great place that I have been posting. I feel like if more Steemit users promoted their posts on www.reddit.com/r/steemit we would get an influx of new users and a lot more traffic from Reddit. Food for thought.
Medium is a community blog where you could post summaries of your blog posts then link in to your Steemit blog.
If you're considering getting into guest blogging. You can read more on this author prefers the approach here.
I hope this not only helps everyone reading grow their accounts but also to spur your own ideas about how you can creatively grow and evolve with Steemit. Best of luck.
