It's easy to see all the ills of a virtual world from the prism of the past but just like how new research is showing all the cognitive benefits of video games now, the kids that grow up detached from a world that everyone else inhabits will be worse off in both (virtual) social skills (when more and more interactions happen virtually) and understanding.

Best thing to do is to encourage a healthy balance on being in and out of this new universe.
