Yeah, best stay out of the big chains like McD, KFC, Starbucks ect. They are just interested in pretty numbers for the shareholders, the customers are not important. They come and go anyway.
Try to find a oldfashioned diner still privatly owned, because they want people come back again. For strong coffee try some foreigner places. Like a brasilian restaurant. Brasilian style coffee can wake up the dead... :)
