RE: STEEM Lacks Skin in the Game - and That's Why Steemit's Content Doesn't Really Matter

in #steemit6 years ago

Why would higher curation rewards reduce bid bots? I think higher curation would just drive people to delegate more money to bid botd and reap the profits without actually doing anything.
The rest I agree with ,and about who get votes just look at the current NETCOINS campaign a lot of people have been posting similar articles urging all Steemians to vote, despite these articles all being nearly identical the guys who have bigger stakes are getting a lot of votes, the others not so much. So it isn't the content it's who you are and who you know or probably who has you on their upvote list.

Exactly, it is who crawled deeper into some whales asses, to say it bluntly (who is better in networking, would be the more polite say).

The theory - mind you: theory - is that larger curation rewards would encourage the whales to upvote content creators manually, as opposed to delegating to bid bots.

Currently, a manual vote means losing money. Straight up. If one looks at Steemit from a purely rational viewpoint, with the goal being profit maximization, it makes no sense to manually support a content creator.

It only makes sense to delegate to a bid bot and making your stake work for you.
