Announcing our 3rd Steemit Meet Up @ Lake Whitney in Texas on August 19 (+ Cliff Jumping!!)
We're having a super epic lake & cliff diving party August 18-20, and we want to make sure to include Steemit in the action!
We're always looking to expose as many people to the revolutionary potential of this platform as we can, so we're going to host a Steemit Meet Up at our super epic lake & cliff diving party to celebrate the possibilities!!
This is the 3rd Steemit Meet Up we're hosting! It coincides with our 1 year anniversary on Steemit as well as the 4th anniversary of the SWAT raid against us, so we've got a lot to celebrate!!
On Saturday, August 19
2 - 4 pm
Lake Whitney, Texas
We're gonna be talking to lots of new people about Steemit. We expect we may expose quite a few people to this site for the first time! If any fellow Steemians in the area want to come and participate in the festivities, that would be awesome. We welcome Steemians old and new!!
We will talk about things like:
- Creating an account
- Is it real?
- How does the economy work?
- What is a blockchain?
- What's happening in crypto?
And then if you want to stick around, we can jump off the 60 foot cliffs at Lake Whitney!!
We're hosting this Steemit Meet Up as part of our an epic lake weekend fundraiser! We'll announce more details of the super epic lake & cliff jumping party soon, and if you want to come or stay for any part of it you are welcome to do so. Here's a little taste: wilderness survival demonstrations, camping, über dank food by donation, yoga, swimming, a cliff jumping fundraising contest, and MORE!!

You had me at Meetup in Texas, but then cliff jumping... whoah! I have a prior engagement a good ways away on the 18th so my attendance is not for certain at this point, but if it works out, that would be awesome because this surely looks to be a good time!

That's awesome you guys. Wish I cuold come and hang out and stuff, but I wouldn't be back in Texas until october. So please drink gormet sodas on my behalf and hopefully I can participate another time.
