Capturing the steemit voting bot

I'm pretty new to steemit and don't understand a lot of how it works. I simply write stuff, add some images and go from there. I try and write interesting things and not resort to meme's and the like.

I seem to see a lot of activity from what people call bots which I assume is some automated way of handing out upvotes. I seem to get a lot of them and each upvote, whilst appreciated, is seemingly worthless. I've noticed, in the last 6-8 weeks, that I don't tend to get a lot of valuable comments anymore either. I get the odd poorly-crafted and grammatically incorrect comment asking for my vote and follow, which I don't give, but rarely do I get a comment from someone who has actually read my post in full and chooses to comment out of interest. It's disappointing as when I first joined the platform commenting was prolific.

I wonder what the steemit "social" platform would be like if every member was a bot. I wonder about the quality of the content when that happens...Here's a photo I took of a steemit bot I captured on film in its natural environment.
