Steemit Is Cool. Its Not Only A Social Network, Its Also A New Way To Mine Coins.
Up to this point the vast majority of crypto currencies require a mining process in order to be created. Whether it is SHA256 mining, Scrypt mining, or CryptNight mining, it can be an expensive process, both in terms of hardware and electricity costs.
STEEM is innovative in this regard. Instead of setting up complicated hardware and software and spending a small fortune, you can generate new STEEM by participating here in the SteemIt community / social network. Users are rewarded with newly generated coins for posting content. Generally, the better quality of the content, the higher is the reward. This allows people to blog / write about their hobbies, projects and passions while also having the opportunity to earn some coin.
