Could These 3 Yours Features Make Steemit Better?

3 Yours.org Features That Could Improve Steemit.

First, let me kick the elephant straight out of the room; Steemit is miles better than yours.org. But, I've been having a look around the site and there are a few things I think could make the steemit experience better.

What are they? Let's have a look...

#1 Paid Comments

On Yours, you can't just go around leaving lame comments like "good post bro" or "I upvoted, please upvote me!" etc. etc. Okay, that's not strictly true, because you can, but it's gonna cost you. On Yours you have to pay in order to leave a comment!

At first I thought: "what a lame idea", but after thinking about it, I feel that this could be a great way prevent spam on Steemit.

If you have to pay $0.10c to leave a comment, how likely is it that people will leave a short/spammy response? Not very likely I don't think.

#2 Paid Posts

It's not just comments that you have to pay for on Yours, you also need to pay in order to post something.

This could possibly be a great way to make sure that people are posting things worth posting. If you had to pay $0.10 in order to create a post on Steemit, how likely are you to make said post low quality? Not very likely I don't think.

I'm guessing it may also prevent copy/paste plagiarism too. (Although maybe not, I haven't taken a very deep look into the content on yours just yet.

I think both of these features are fantastic myself, but until I've expiremented more with Yours I wouldn't like to say I'm 100% sure about these features.

But there is one other feature I believe is absolutely fantastic, and that is:

#3 "Pay Walls"

This may be a love it or hate it thing, but I think it's a great feature on Yours that is lacking on Steemit. Here, you either post it or you don't - which keeps it simple - but on Yours? You can have any amount of a post available for free, and then set a pay wall for the rest of the post.

This feature obviously doesn't work for all types of content, but can you imagine publishing something like a book using this feature? Getting a reader hooked, and then having the rest of the book available at a price.

A bit like Amazon's Kindle previews, but without the middle man and 60 day wait to get paid!

@michelle.gent (just as an example) posts a hell of a lot of quality writing right here on steemit, Yours could give her a new way to monetize those stories.

Am I Missing Something?

I'm sure there are things I've overlooked, and I would think the pay wall feature might not be to everyone's taste, but do you think any one of these features would be beneficial to Steemit? Let me know down below!

Thanks for viewing!

great suggestions)
i like paid comments the most because it's so boring to see spam in comments or smth like "nice post" that is sent without reading

Interesting concepts to consider, definitely. It would certainly be nice to have a way to keep the copy/paste posts at bay. I mean, it is fine, in my humble opinion, to occasionally share a song or video that one really loves, but that should not be one's main method of posting! Good info here, thanks for sharing!

Thank you @thekittygirl! Totally agree with you there.
