Small things to add to your content to get recognised on STEEMIT.

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Every steemer want to see their post in trending section but they did’t want to give a second look to their content that they are going to post. I have learned about blogging in last few months and steemit blogging about a month ago. So with my current experience on steemit, I would recommend you to do certain small changes to your content to make it more likeable.

I think there are a few but important things that steemers must do to improve their quality of their content.

  1. ONLY PHOTOGRAPHS —-> Do not just only share photographs, share a bit of story related to those photographs to engage more people.
  2. WORD LIMIT —-> Do not exceed the word limit of 500 because after after that it starts looking boring.
  3. NEED TO KNOW —> Do not share trending news as most of the people know about it. Share news, that you think people must know and didn’t know about it before.
  4. UNNECESSARY TAGS—-> Do not tag unnecessary tags if it doesn’t belong to your post like “stemmit”, “introduceyourself”,”photography” etc. Because it makes difficult to categorise content.
  5. STEALING —-> Do not copy or steal the content of others as it may get your post flagged.
  6. VERIFICATION —> For the verification purposes, you can add a photo of yours at the end to make it look like a genuine post.
  7. BEGGING —> Do not beg for up votes in your content like “Upvote, I need to get to the USA” something like that. If people find your content good, they will definitely up vote it. However you may add like “If you like my post the please upvote” or “If you find the information helpful please upvote”.
  8. REASONS —> Always add the reasons about why you are sharing this content with people. So that they can relate it with their stories and lives.
  9. Credits —> Always add credits of other people if they have improved the quality of your content.

I'll have to disagree with you on the 500 words thing. My best paying posts are definitely over 500 words. You just have to keep it interesting.

Do you currently use the markdown language? I believe your post could use a little formatting.

The best advice I have for new Steem users is to not just write words and post as often as they can but, to really focus on making something truly great. Nothing great comes easy.

Best of luck to you my friend.

Thank you very much. I will definitely look into formatting my content.
