What is the difference between a meformer and informer?
Meformers are people who post updates mainly about themselves.
Informers are people who provide updates mostly information-sharing.

The term ‘meformer’ was created by people from Rutgers University after analysing different samples and the impact of the number of followers for these two types of authors.

The result was that informers had more than two times the followers of meformers.

The implication of this is that one of the keys in gaining followers quickly is to share updated information about the current issues rather than sharing about your personal life issues.

Doing lots of research and stay updated are therefore important if you will like to gain more followers in the steemit community.

Gain expert knowledge in a specialised area and explore deeper into it by staying updated and the ability to provide advice when followers need it. Followers must find value and worth in following you.
