SCAM ALERT!! Twitter account @certianassets masquerding as Ned Scott (@certainassets)
Twitter Account @certianassets Giving Half-off Steem for Survey SCAM
I was followed by who I thought was Ned Scott, on Twitter, so I immediately followed back thinking "I could've sworn I was already following him." The twitter account @certianassets then private messaged me asking if I wanted to take a survey for a half-off deal on steem and I obliged saying:
"Probably won't be trading any more of my bitcoins for Steem, at least for now, but I will take the survey to help out the platform."
The survey was super quick and easy only asking about 10 questions, most of them being Yes/No. After, finishing the survey I found it suspicious that "Ned" was now asking me if I will be redeeming the half-off on steem deal. People usually don't coerce you to redeem a gift after you've done the survey they wanted you to do.
Detective hat is put on
I now started to look at this scammer's twitter page and it has the picture of Ned Scott but with only a few Steemit retweets. I also saw that the account was established on September, 2016. I knew for a fact that Ned's account was older than that so I searched Twitter for Ned Scott's real account and saw that I was indeed following him already and that it's been up since 2015. I alerted Ned of the scam via twitter hopefully exposing this scammer before he deceives any Steemians/Bitcoiners.
Here is my tweet to the real Ned Scott: https://twitter.com/SaltMashPotatoe/status/772493100543598596
Moral of the story
Be careful out there Steemians/Bitcoiners! People want your precious bitcoins!!!!!

Can we make a page for the steemit domain where you can verify and sign messages signed with say the memo key?
