Steemit.com Is Now One Of The Most Popular Websites In The World (Ranked 937)
Steemit is really killing it at the moment. We are gaining record amounts of new accounts and now we are also among the top 1000 in terms of worldwide ranking. Last time I checked Alexa.com it looked like this:
So at that time, about a month ago Steemit was ranked 1079 but here is the new ranking:
Comment: There you have it, Steemit is now ranked as 937 and that in itself is a milestone.
Now, whats interesting is that Steemit has dropped in the US rankings but gained traction globally. Here is the stats from a month ago:
And here are the new traffic stats:
Comment: So, what can we learn from this? Well the biggest change here is that India is now in the top 5. In fact it is already ranked third while Japan has lost its top 5 position.
The US has lost 3,7 percentage points and Korea has lost 2 percentage points.
The negative part here is that if these numbers are correct, the US, Korea, UK and Germany has all lost rankings in their own countries compared to a month ago.
Anyways, I will do another update within a month and then we will see how things develop from here.
Happy Steeming!

Thanks for sharing
I have been following alexa rankings for steemit after it was brought to my attention by a fellow steemian. I am glad to see the stable growth of the platform visit stats - no sharp rise or fall, just solid growth, albeit a fast one. I am hoping to see top 200 by the end of this year and won't be surprised to see us even surpassing it.
I see so many youtubers griping about how they were too late too start vlogging on youtube and how they should have joined before 2010. I hate it to break it to them that they were already too late by 2010 because unlike steemit's community driven growth, youtube follows a corporate growth pattern. Which basically means that if you are not an initial investor, then you are earning more for them, than for yourself.
In Steemit you earn as a community and get your fair share of it as an individual. People are noticing it and thus flocking here.
Great news, especially with the current market dip that we've got going on. It's good to know that people are still very much interested in the platform while Steem's value is down.
