Steemit Please Stop This Madness - Value Of Posts In Constant Decline

Well I'm not sure HF19 is working out so well. After the initial jump in value of my stories they have been in a constant decline ever since. What is going on? This has to stop! I love Steemit but at the moment I'm not even sure there's any point to posting 'deep' articles that have had tons of effort go into them.

Please Steemit any chance we can have normal service being resumed?

What is HF19? Sorry Im new here.

Hi heather and welcome to the community. HF19 was a recent update that Steemit implemented to make the voting power more evenly distributed between us all. There is no doubt that the voting power has increased which is great, so now for each upvote we will be rewarded more. However, sadly this is being offset with a constant decline in the value of our rewards we are earning for each post, and I don't know why this is happening. Normally once you post a story the reward value increases until day 7 which is when the article reaches maturity, at the moment it is doing the opposite quite significantly.

My understanding is that the payout figures are always only an estimate. Because of HF19 - there are a lot more posts (good ones and bad) being created.. so the value of each individual post slowly declines. Keep posting.. those that are chasing quick profits will soon give up. Down voting copyright content and generally crap posts will help.

TBH i think the flaw that Steem it has is that you get people trying to game the system by doing very repeatable effort type things. Like posting "nice post" in the comments. Or people reporting the performance of a certain crypto currency.

Another flaw that i see is that you see see the same whales in trending all the time.

How do I discover new people ?

I want to have a filter that filters people by steem power and post date!

Keep up.

Now Followers Matter More like a sixteen yo with their instagrams. You need that targeted audience with a powerful upvote.

I guess I got on the bus a few days to late.

I'm too new to have a definitive opinion on article performance, but I can see a lot of duplication happening.

This seems to be a result of trying to "run in place" and get visibility. But then you end up with a lot of stories being repeated, and that frankly makes Steemit look like a spam factory.

There's got to be a better way for new posts to break through without having to resort to reposting constantly. I for one, will refuse to do it. I haven't put together an article yet - but I have some ideas.

If they languish, then so be it. I won't bother other users by reposting things I've already done.
