Number 1 Reason why I do shit posts

This will not win me any points from the whales that roam this space but this is my reason for not writing such in depth articles or 2000 words blog.

Writing this article may shed some light as to why users join Steemit and just leave and never return after a few posts.

I joined Steemit because I wanted to make money. Just being honest. I produced articles that was written, researched and revised for hours or even days. Needless to say, the promise of big dollars went puff.

After posting an amazing blog, I waited for $$$ to appear. What I got was mere cents. Maybe it will come after 7 days, I convinced myself. A week later, it was the same amount of cents. I did get one extra vote though.

I am sure most people can relate, except the circle of circle jerkers.

So I made less than $0.50 on an 8 hour blog. That is deflating, I could have worked in 7/11 for 5 minutes and made more.

Follow me so you don't miss out on my next blog, number 2 reason why I do shit posts.

This post is probably still better than the ones I make. Dang my blog sure stinks then ;)

Sometimes less is more.
Enjoy the daily challenge.
That is the reward.

I keep meaning to respond to this. From the steemit white paper:

The economic effect of this is similar to a lottery where people overestimate their probability of getting votes and thus do more work than the expected value of their reward, thereby maximizing the total amount of work performed in service of the community. The fact that “everyone wins something” plays on the same psychology that casinos use to keep people gambling. In other words, small rewards help reinforce the idea that it is possible to earn bigger rewards.

Hmmmm indeed....

LOL The length of my posts depend on how much steam I want to let off, or if I am experimenting. With a new post every 5 to 7 minutes most posts just get lost. One needs a system to make money on steemit, just like gambling, if I find a good system I will hide it away 😛. I havent seen many of your blogs but they seem interesting.

You will still see some every now and then. If only long articles were evergreen.

Posts seem to have a life of 7 days, after that you cant even resteem them, not much incentive for writing a long post. I notice story writers put links at the bottom of each posted chapter so that people can follow the whole story.
