today's top five is about the whales of steemit and what there current powering status is, for those of you who are new to steemit and do not know or understand what a steemit whale is.. well you've come to the right place as I will shortly explain to you.   

what are steemit whales? and why should i care?

Well steemit whales are steemit users like me and you but unlike them we hold a lot less Steem power. that basically allows the whales to be in control of a lot of the content me and you see, and allows for better content they will also be making a lot more money off this site but that's not important. what is important is that without the whales and I say this often we would not have the site we are currently building together and that we love, so we should care very much about the whales but don't fear them as they are like me and you and just want whats best don't hate them because they haven't up voted your content you or I probably wasn't quite unique enough or creative with that being said don't stop being yourself and being creative that's what this site is for after all. now there's a lot of questions from people asking should I power down or not me included so will also take a look a weather or not our top whales are powering up, bigger question should we follow them?. now to introduce some of those whales.

1. STEEMIT

Our first user is known as steemit this user is in what i can see a miner theres not alot of information when i looked into this user as there is only one post from this user right now as it stands user steemit is worth Estimated Value: $76,094,763 and currently holds  70,672,720.706 SP (SP stands for Steem power) as this graph shows user steemit is been grinding slowly but with no bumps up words 

2. NED 

This user I know is one of the founders of steemit so why not give him a follow @ned thanks for being there for us Ned your truly motivational. right now as it stands neds  Estimated Value: $4,114,292 and holds 3,950,896.021 SP.ned also seems to be grinding up words just take a look at this graph shows 

3. DAN 

Also a founder of steemit our next big wig whale is @dan . like ned, dan is also a huge inspiration to me and the general community because without our founders there simply would be no steemit our two founders have posts but they do not post too often which i hope changes i wanna hear from the creators more often. no as it stands Dans Estimated Value: $3,180,264 and holds 3,042,932.091 SP following all our other whales thus far Dan also seems to be slowly grinding up words as this graph shows. 

4. BLOCKTRADES 

@Blocktrades is what i believe our trading platform on Steemit for other cryptos for instance i traded my bitcoin for steem power and the account that received it was this one its here to take account of all those trades so i wouldn't really call this user a whale. right now its Estimated Value: $2,793,693 and holds  2,512,484.203 SP. Here's a graph its definitely a quite different from our founders because its just there for trading.

 

5. JAMESC 

Looks like this is finally a real whale up-voting and being a awesome support to this community it must be quite the privilege and honor to get to be on this list no doubt tho this user has worked hard for where they are currently remember work hard and be creative, so lets give this whale our support as well as our thanks! now time for those juicy statistics right now @jamesc Estimated Value: $2,301,071  and holds  2,161,472.710 SP. now thats a heavy hitter people but as you can see in this users activity its nothing but positive. it looks like theres a trend between our top whales as jamesc seems to be doing basically the same as this graph shows. 

well there you have it people that's our TOP FIVE for today and was wuite the epic one I learned quite a bit today and it made me love Steem a lot more I want to personally thank all our top whales for being there and just being such a blessing to Steemit thanks for the motivation guys I cant stop and I wont stop.
