As Steemit is built on cryptography, it tends to attract crypto- and privacy-minded people. This proposal strikes me as a strike against the very core values of this community.
If you want to do this sort of thing, it already exists on other platforms. Why pollute this one with privacy invasion?

Such a feature must be opt-in, not opt-out.
