Major Warning On Synereo (Again)

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

Right now Synereo is offering 36,500 Satoshi per AMP, which is $0.22 per AMP - while you can get this easily off an exchange for much less. Let me make this very clear about Synereo so far in their "sale":

  • The bonus was not a bonus at all, unless you bought quite a bit. They disguised this fact from buyers - most of whom were suckers (sorry if you were one, but we warned you about this while it was happening on multiple social media platforms so it was your error for not listening).
  • This next round has been almost overpriced the entire time when compared to exchanges.
  • They intentionally use non-standard measurements, like Satoshi, to confuse people about the actual deal. Satoshi isn't a standard measurement, while the Euro, Dollar or Renminbi are.

Scams do things like this and I would be extremely cautious about Synereo. I own AMP, but at a very cheap price and I have no interest in buying more because they haven't actually done anything except host crowdsales. Let's see results; I'm starting to get the feeling that the reason we're not seeing results is because they're just burning through cash at this point. Scams often have a very clear pattern. Could Synereo succeed? Possibly, but they should have an ethical problem with what they're doing and I don't see any evidence of this. Even if they turn out to be successful, you could still have purchased AMP much cheaper on exchanges.

A great example of someone engaging in a strawman and defending this fraud is user @bkkshadow:

Smells a lot like FUD in here...

Let me be very clear since a few are having difficulty reading cleary (like @bkkshadow):

There is no uncertainty. There is no fear. There is no doubt. Synereo is saying to you, "Why don't you pay $2.20 for 10 AMP" when you could buy 10 AMP for $1.70 at exchanges. Still don't get it, @bkkshadow? Another very clear example: a store across the street is charging $2.20 for a gallon of gas, while the store you're at is charging $1.70. Why would you drive your car across the street to pay a $0.50 higher price per gallon? There is no uncertainty. There is no fear. There is no doubt. There is guaranteed overpaying for AMP.

Nothing we've said is fear, uncertainty or doubt.

Either way, they are once again over charging complete fools. Don't be a fool.

We had some great content on FinTekNeeks this week that gave you an edge over other traders. If you read, be glad. If you didn't. you better make sure to stay on top of it, or else others will take the lead. Expect a big trading article in the next three weeks - you won't want to miss it.

I have 1000 AMP. So I should sell?

Only you can answer that question.

I own AMP for pure speculation purposes and I got them at a great price. I will not buy any more AMP at all and I am incredibly skeptical of Synereo and their team given how dishonest they have been with this entire crowdsale.

I haven't followed the latest rounds, I'm in AMP since ICO. Wasn't the latest round about equity in Synereo Ltd and you got some AMP as "bonus"? That "bonus" is the overpriced part, correct? It's not that they just sell AMPs, right?
Edit: Sorry, clicked on one of your links. Strange indeed.

I didn't buy any for the first two reasons you mentioned. There was effectively no bonus when buying small amounts, and it would have been cheaper to buy on the market.

I do think the price in satoshi is fair, amps are also listed in bitcoin/satoshi on markets after all, so that's much easier to compare than if the funding round were in fiat currency.
