Steembook

How about a website integrated on the steem blockchain in which you can login with Facebook as a "free trial" version? It should look a lot like facebook in the same way steemit looks a lot like Twitter. After 7 consecutive days of usage, people are offered a free account with a small SP delegation.

The website would show ads much like Facebook, the revenue of which covers SP delegations and investor ROI. Content submission and transactions made by people who haven't reached the 7-days trial period yet would be powered using a few different accounts (initially 10) with sp delegated to them.

This may offer a slower experience due to the 3 second per comment limitation, but it would also help with RC shortage from people's own accounts once they've earnt them so they wouldn't feel limited to what they can do. The website/app would detect if the account's RC is too low, then offer the option to continue using the public accounts, warning clearly of any possible changes in the ownership of that content.

Therefore it's a free, transparent and monetized social network which would need at least the main feed, builtin chat and fanpages as features, although groups would also make a lot of difference. Because the interface would be designed to feel similar to that of Facebook, people could use it right away without having to learn barely anything.

Why am I not doing this? Not in my budget. Hopefully someone can take this idea and build on top of it.
