*GERARD PIQUE is suspended for Barcelona’s La Liga clash with Valencia on Sunday, leaving Ernesto Valverde short of defensive options.

*Javier Mascherano is also out injured, meaning there could be a call-up for forgotten man Thomas Vermaelen to partner Samuel Umtiti in central defence.

*Barcelona currently lead Valencia by four points at the top of La Liga, although the visitors are on an eight-match winning run.

*Ousmane Dembele remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, Andre Gomes is working his way back from a thigh problem and both Sergi Roberto and Arda Turan are also doubtful.
