So your taking up blogging

Welcome to a mass jungle of thought, innovation, creation and imagination and a lot more tions.
Yes sometimes i feel my mind is exploding with ideas for what i could share and its hard to keep an organised life while all this is going on.
So i have devised a simple structure of when, what and how much time to put into my blogging life.

Time

Being that my blogs are about being a father then without spending valuable time with my children and family then a really will run out of content fast let alone become isolated from family life. So i have devised the top time's to blog being a family guy.
while my partner works day shifts and the children are at school this seems to be the best time as the house is free from distractions and my mind can concentrate on the content of the blog.
At night to when my partner is watching her damm soap opera's i can escape to the block-chain and keep up to speed.

how often

well this is a matter of what content you are putting out and what you want to achieve. for instance if you are holding daily contests then the answer is in the name but if your like me and want to give out good content at a reasonable rate to keep attracting your audience then i suggest you agree a timeline that works around your life.
I like to post at least every other day varying my content. At present i tend to post a dad blog ( about being a father) at least once a week. i may add more in one week depending on ideas i have at the time. In between those i will add posts like this one or even my last post https://steemit.com/steemit/@father2b/1-month-in-the-steemit-ocean which are blogs on my journey through steemit and the block-chain as these are great ways to help others on there journey as you learn about the block-chain yourself.
here's an example of how i would construct my week

So as you can see i like to keep it varied that way i can have fresh ideas and not overkill my blogs to soon and this keeps a constant flow of author rewards coming in and your audience gets a steady flow of content.
You could vary this to suit your needs and it maybe a good idea to post certain content at pacific times of the day, week month and so on. For example you may wish to post every Monday morning that way your audience know when new content will arrive and will tune in around them times. check out my blog page and see how spaced apart my blogs, other than contest entry's and resteems my content is every other day.
I was going to talk about keeping track of your progress but i think that deserves a blog of its own so do keep a look out for that and hope you have enjoyed reading.

Yup Stephen...This is a massive concern.

Work/life balance is tough enough without adding the blockchain time vortex into the mix. We definitely need to find time portions for ALL of the important things in our busy lives.

And the most important is obviously Steemit...uhmm family life!

After all if not for them why else would we try and be better than we are today?

Tales of mega success are littered with the proverbial tales of...

...Workaholic Dad loses touch with his partner and children, one day realises that his kids and he are disconnected and they have left home and he and the partner no longer know eachother and have grown apart...

"I did it all for my family" He exclaims with a pained grimace and confused expression.

The warning from our potential future in a parallel universe is dire, the solution...Obvious, if you get the nagging feeling that you are spending too much time lost in Steem flavoured cyberspace then the chances are that you are right! Walk away, your half finished post will still be there when you return, your family may not enjoy being placed on the backburner quite so much.

Having said all of this I am still learning how this balance works myself as 18 hours on Steemit can feel like 2 or 3 hours in the real world, especially considering all of the new things we need to learn to maximise our engagement and benefit from it.

I think it is critical to always have a balance in everything. No matter what it is if you do way to much of it you will end up getting sick of it :)

I have work/gym/steemit fairly well balanced now

Between working 12hr shifts and keeping up with the demands of parenthood it can become difficult to balance timely content but with a simple plan like the one in this post things can become easier. I used to workout too and I know how much time and commitment that takes so hats off to you. Thanks for the up

Yeah it would be really hard to find time when your a dad, I think I would have to give up the gym too if I had kids.
No worries still many more upvotes to come ;)
