RE: I've been banned from steemit's github

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Should look at my steemit posts.

Anyway-- I didn't do anything wrong on github. Nope, not a temporary issue. Has been like that for about a week. Just became a problem today because there were some questions I wanted to ask.

Here's my github profile:

github.com/faddat

Not having this problem ever, with any other repo I've contributed to.

But does it actually say "banned" anywhere? Maybe you could inquire github support what's going on?

Asking them now. Just for you.

You are doing it for yourself, not for me. ;) I guess you may benefit more if the issue will be resolved.

Oh, I'm asking for you. I'm rather sure of what I'll learn.

There's a small chance I am wrong though.

This is how bans work in social media. One is not told, one is simply banned. Probably they don't like my criticism of their API.

Yea I know, it happens, and github itself is notorious internally for being over sensitive to almost anything they find offensive. But I don't know if mere criticism of an API on a project is enough. Anyway, best to be sure and ask. :)

I don't mean that github banned me.

Steemtit banned me from their github.

No, the user-actions are confidential.

But yes, they've banned me.

That is weird.

Not really, unfortunately.

I haven't been able to make heads or tails of steemit's management since I started steeming. It's still and likely to remain my blog platform of choice. They just won't benefit from my criticism or code, is all.
