Will Steemit Eventually Go Public ?

I have been on steemit for less than a week, So I am by no mean an expert on steemit. 

My question in this post is, how long will it take for steemit to GO PUBLIC ... because in my opinion that's where the real reward is. Posting is ok, it can be rewarding for some, but it is definitely not going to be much of a reward for everyone.  I

As with FB, twitter etc... do you think there will come a time when steemit stocks will be sold on the market ?
