Tailoring Your Steemit Experience To What You Want
Why are we on Steemit? For a lot of us, this answer varies. Some people are only on here to make money. Others, love sharing their photographs with the community. Some people want to learn and enjoy sharing their knowledge. Whatever the reason, there's a reason you are personally here, and a reason that you personally keep interacting.
Hopefully, we can illustrate some of the concepts and reiterate what we expect from this community.
KNOWLEDGE
One of the reasons I am still on this site and community is the ability to learn and share knowledge. The internet has been revolutionary for knowledge transfer. I know personally, I have learned a ton recently from online learning and research. By being on this site, I'm able to learn from a lot of smart people and in addition, contribute back some of my knowledge to hopefully allow some of you to be more successful as well.
So what's the strategy? Share more informative posts that teach something and allow people to learn!
INTERACTION
One of the measured things people need in life is interaction with other humans. Regardless if you're an introvert or extrovert, we all need some sort of human engagement. This is a huge reason that prisoners who are in solitary confinement go crazy. I know personally, I love interacting and engaging with all of the people on this site. I get to learn the skills and techniques of others, and share my feedback for people's posts.
What's the strategy? Don't be afraid to engage and interact with other people on this site! It really only helps. It allows you to see their thoughts and posts and allows them as well.
MONEY
Well, of course this has to be on here. To me, it's a nice by product, but not the primary reason I'm on this site. This is why it's at the bottom. I think the possibility of earning rewards is one of the things that has pulled us to this site initially. Especially with all of the social media and message board sites on the internet, why would we gravitate toward Steemit if it weren't for the rewards? So, how do we earn rewards? Well, in part, it's a lot of what I described in the sections above. Remember, don't force the money to come. Enjoy this site and focus on what your goals and interests are. Once you get a strategy in place for the reason why you're here and what you hope to accomplish (besides making money), then you will be able to focus on that and allow the rewards to come. Trust me, they do come. The beginning is always the toughest and it's hard to know how to tailor your approach to fit your goals. Keep it up. Allow the money to keep further motivating you.
What's the strategy? Focus on the primary goals. Be sure to interact with people and keep posting great content. Think about the things you like seeing and the posts that you up vote. Then, try to continue on that path and make posts and content that are similar in nature. I see plenty of my mentors on here and the posts they make. I see the rewards they get and know that I enjoy their posts, so I try to continue to make my posts better and make content that I actually feel people will value. There's so much empty boring content on here that I hope to make this point expressed. If you just post to post and hope to get followers and money, it will be a long and struggling process. Think to yourself if this is the thing that you would up vote if you saw it posted.
With that in mind, keep following the guidelines and STEEM ON!!
Great words! I agree with most of what you said, but I disagree with this...
I disagree, not because I don't think you are right, but because I know the world is not always fair. Some people will post empty content and get followers and money.
I joined because I could get reward for my inspirations.
I knew I was blessed with some good thoughts, and Steemit shows me I am appreciated.
It is a great community.
Nice write up.
You are right and nothing is exact science, however what I'm referring to is people who make garbage posts expecting to become a top curator on Steemit....I don't see it happening. Better to adjust and post quality. Of course garbage always gets some hidden gems here and there.
For me, one of the reasons I wanted to join Steemit was because of the engaged audience. I have been blogging on and off for a fair few years now, and one of the biggest challenges is actually finding people to read your content, never mind comment on it.
With Steemit, the audience here is eager to learn and interact with you from the start, so it gives you loads of confidence about writing. Of course, the fact that you can earn instantly too is a huge factor.
VERY good point! Yea, always nice to find motivated readers on this site with the rewards.

Upvote back @amrizal
I got bumped into this platform to improve my language and remove my excessive introvert nature . Literally it helped me a lot , people in this platform are really awesome , they share their knowledge so that lot's of others get benefits from them . Of course who doesn't needs money ? as you stated money really is a by product and comes in abundance once you master the skills . Thanks for your words @exxodus
Well people use it for Just money xD right ?
I'm absolutely with you. My personal reasons for starting and continuing STEEM. Coz it's me and people together with one's heart that matter eventually. Thank you for reminding. Have a great day ^^
Thanks for the insight brothe.
Will try share a good content..
Steemit is what you make of it!
Thanks to @paradigmprospect, this post was resteemed and highlighted in today's edition of The Daily Sneak.
Thank you for your efforts to create quality content!
I agree with all your points!! money should be the last reason you do anything here. Steemit takes time and real work to make posts that others will keep wanting to read.
Meeting new people on here makes everything worth it in the end. Plus the added benefit that if you want to learn something you can talk right to the author of the post and most here will help you any way they can to show you what you want to learn.
