Workaround for embedding Vimeo videos on Steem

Problem

When I try to use Vimeo's HTML embed code to include a video in a Steem post, this is what happens:

Result:

It's broken :(

Workaround:

There doesn't seem to be a way to embed Vimeo videos on Steem, so here is a workaround until the platform adds proper support.

Get Thumbnail

Go to http://video.depone.eu/ to generate a thumbnail image for your video. Copy the image link.

Code

Paste this in your Steem post:

[![My Video Title](THUMBNAIL_URL)](VIMEO_URL)

Replace VIMEO_URL with the link to your video and THUMBNAIL_URL with the link you generated for the thumbnail. That's it.

A nice thumbnail that links to the video:
