That means it should not get in the way of user's enjoyment of the site by getting in the way or making it harder to use. It should not take over the site and give people the feeling that it is too intrusive.
That's exactly right.
So MANY sites now days do exactly the opposite. It's like crawling over broken glass to read the content.
The latest thing the crybabies have been whining about has been AdBlocking software.

I came to Steemit to get away from that crap.
Absolutely. Noting puts me off a site faster than those horrible adds that you have to click to get rid of. It is ruining so many websites these days.
