RE: Steemit as a non-profit platform
This may or may not be pertinent...I feel that it is.
In the next few years (it's already happening) automation and robotics will replaced the big percentage of ALL jobs. It will eventualy come to the point where anything done ONCE by a human can then be done afterwards by a machine. (machines can't innovate..but once taught( programmed) they can do anything)
That means if your job is not creative...you won't have one.
That mean...the majority of people will be OUT of work.
Production (as now) will continue to increase. The owners of the machines will get (more) rich.
How will the other 90% survive?
I'm thinking that Steemit (and others like it) might be part of the solution.
Or in a perfect world, money will become irrelevant because we have robots doing all the work for us :)
I believe that's what I just said.
Not really. You mentioned owners of the money would get more rich and others would be out of a job. I replied by saying there would be no need for money hence no one would be getting richer and we wouldn't have to worry about surviving since money would be of no use since everything would be produced by robots.
Like Star Trek - people would all have responsibilities, but would be doing them to improve society and benefit themselves and the human race
