Money for Nothing
Steemit is great, isn't it? You get paid for posting content, and you get paid for reading it, too. Everyone makes money, and nobody has to pay. It seems too good to be true, really. I must ask: Is this sustainable? How?

When too many SBD are generated, the value will rise or fall accordingly due to the incentive to vote more or less, meeting market demand.
Advertisers have incentive to buy STEEM to promote thier posts, thereby creating a demand for more SBD to convert to STEEM. It's an elegant design really.
That is a great point. Is there a mechanism for that, though? Can you make a "paid post"?
Ah, I see. You buy a lot of steem, power up, and then you upvote your own posts. It would be a strange model for advertisers, though: You'd have to pay a whole lot of money in advance, and then get an unlimited number of (slightly?) promoted posts. Eventually, you could even make the money back, or not?
