Steemit lucky dip!

in #steemit10 years ago (edited)

It seems to me that whatever get's voted up on Steem Is in the most part, down to complete luck. Upon viewing some of the blogs of users who have made it to the trending page. I have come to realise that some of these blog posts are far more thought out and resourceful than the ones that are making it to the front page. Although there are a few steemers who are consistently pumping out rich and popular content, but the chances of reaching popularity and thus earning a decent amount of steem seem to be mostly down to luck.
I'm wondering If this will eventually even out as more people join the site.

What are your thoughts on this steemers?

Many of the larger holders/curators understand that diversity is key to a successful platform. Therefore, part of the decision to up-vote is based on the rarity or diversity of the subject matter or style and at times slightly less so on quality. We seem to have a lot of posts on certain subjects so even good posts may be over looked for a lesser post who's subject matter is not yet fully represented in our current early stages of evolution. Over time this should become less and less as a full diversity of opinion and subject matter becomes the norm.

I guess I didn't really see it from that perspective. I may have been a bit frustrated that I was putting a lot of effort into my posts and not getting much inerest, But That's no reason to give up i suppose. Thanks for the response :)
