I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I'm a newbie here and found this really reassuring and welcoming. I've previously been a bit nervous of posting in communities and on social media where my comments are viewable by more than my immediate friends and family - I've been too worried about the overly harsh criticisms that sometimes go hand in hand with the anonymity afforded by the internet.
