It is so important that we all help and support one another, that is the core strength of Steemit and yes it is nice to get a reward for our time, ultimately it is the connections and the community that motivate me to continue on here. Really awesome the 2 new support projects you have set up are awesome and you have set such a great example of what community is all about. I have been saying this too. I always like to add that there is less competition for attention. There may be less people posting at the moment but the people who do are more likely to have their post noticed by someone.

I am in full agreement there. Right now it is easy to identify the users who really want to stick around and make a go of it here and they are the ones that whose work should be supported because they will add the most value to the site in the long term.
