Best place to get quick answer. You mustn't ask every question
Hello Steemians, compliments of the season. I’ve given this advice before, but few have ever used it.
If you are needing a name for a man in any century or any country, we’ll use England for an example, go to “yahoo.com”, in the search box enter “male names England, 1800’s” and hit enter. It will bring you up a dozen of more sites you can find lists of popular male names in the 1800’s. You can do it for any century, any country, male or female. Hundreds of names to choose from.
You can also do the same using Google, but google will not bring up as many locations as Yahoo will.
You can also use Yahoo to find names for fictional characters as there are sites that will generate fantasy names for you.
You can do the same if you want to find out common foods in any century and country, just enter “common foods in China in 12BC,“ or what ever place and time you wish.
You can research clothing, music, musical instruments, weapons, anything you want and get hundreds of times more information than you will be able to get asking for someone in this group or any group on Facebook to give you.
It is amazing what you can find for yourselves if you search using Yahoo or Google by simply asking. It will save you time and give you more accurate information then you will get in here. The best questions you can ask in a group have to do with other writer’s experiences with writing, publishing, techniques. Historical data, geographical data and scientific information you are better off using Google and Yahoo to obtain.
And the biggest of all is steemit. You can also use the search button to look for the desired answer of your questions
