Steemit Dreamit is back with a Vengeance

Facebook is terrible, full of advertisement, selling our information to the highest bidder. On the flip side, it works really well, is the most widespread social media of its kind and serves to identify people on the internet. At the very least, you can find out that they are secretive which is already a lot of information about someone.

Yesterday my friend @chelsea88 made me a mod on her Facebook group Steemit Dreamit and I would like to extend an invitation for you to join. In this group, you get a chance to link to all your Steemit posts once and it is a place where you won’t come across people asking for Upvotes, Follows or Resteems. No one will shamelessly link their post in your comments without consequence. It is good form to also add a short caption to introduce your post to the group.

In this attention economy, a minnow has to give and take to grow their following and our group proposes to build a community where this exchange comes naturally. The stronger and the more interactive our community, the more opportunities we can expect. All I am asking is that you let us take care of the spammers so you can worry about dreaming up what your next topic is going to be. There are no limits here, talk about what fascinates you and makes you feel passionate. We love to hear you talk from your personal experience and you don’t have to worry about it being boring because Steemit Dreamit is a safe place where we do not judge each other.

Organic Growth is a key concept to understand where this group is coming from.

May it be YouTube or Instagram, whenever there is something to gain, people will pay to boast a bigger following. The idea here is that when someone encounters that profile, they think: Oh that person has a lot of followers, maybe I should follow them too!
Maybe they are even trying to interest potential clients with numbers.
Our goal is not only to keep Steemit more authentic but the internet as a whole. The moment Steemit appeared on the map, it set the bar higher for blogger ethics because here, tweaked numbers don’t just give you the advantages mentioned above, they literally siphon the value right out of the blockchain.
There are many ways cryptocurrency has been used to scam people and we on Steemit have to set the moral high ground because the world is looking to us to succeed or fail.
Why? Because if a store of value like Bitcoin succeeds or fails it falls under a financial story but with this platform it is entirely different. It is our story. Our blood sweat and tears being vulnerable or finding interesting things to say.
This is why someone freshly entering this platform should be patient and grow their following bit by bit, organically.
