Knoxville Blockchain Enthusiasts Meetup

I started a new Meetup with @complexring for people interested in blockchain technology. It has already attracted some members with different professional backgrounds and is growing. It was suggested that we meet bimonthly and pick a couple of papers as assigned reading before each meeting, so we're trying this out. We will meet on Wednesday this week to discuss the Steem whitepaper and Breakout Coin over beers at Blackhorse Pub and Brewery.

1st Topic: Steem!

As we all know, the Steem blockchain is interesting because of its structure and what it can do for writers, other content producers, curators, and social media users in general.

2nd topic: Breakout Coin

Breakout Coin, a payment system tied to online gaming, uses a multicurrency blockchain, and is the first system where interest earning capacity is completely separate from the principal.

I plan to record and post about our members' ideas on both of these projects and their interesting features. Hopefully we will get some new converts to Steemit in the process.
