I think it is all coming, but we are already so sated with the all the goodies we understand and are familiar with. The key you mentioned, is art. Both in the general sense of expressing ourselves in the typical way, but also in new and unexpected things. ie 1008 amazing doodles on paper vs the first 3d origami sculpture. We are all still thinking about 2d but forget that no one said that was the only way the paper could be used. I see Steemit the same way. We can just post content as per usual, or we can start to think of ways to use this platform that is actually really unique compared to what else is available. I saw a ted talk I will post below (been wanting to check the end part also) it mentions the artist/blockchain cryptocurrency phenomena and lays out a great solution to many of the problems facing creative types online. But the website mentioned was different from here. Hang on I'll find it. and thanks @janamaclaughlin for your comment. Don't worry about bemoaning the same issues, we all will be until things become as smooth and effortless as we know it can be.... :)
