Why Is The Recent Steemit Hack Will Actually Raise Steem Value And Make Steemit More Popular?

According to Ned Scott Steemit's CEO. Steemit was hacked with 260 accounts compromised and about $85,000 worth of Steem and Steem Dollars were possibly stolen.

This is of course, is a sad affair.

It may cause some Steem holders to panic sell their holdings. It may cause uncertainty to Steemit users. We may doubt the stability of this emerging social platform as a whole.

Later on, we would realize something deeper, an effect so profound it might just make you smile and say, "hey this incident might actually be a good thing!". Why??

Because at the moment, there are about 23,600++ registered users of Steemit. Compare that to Facebook's current registered users of more than 2,000,000,000 and you will suddenly realize, Steemit has about a HUNDRED THOUSAND times to grow from this point!

That is IF, Steemit will only grow AT PAR with Facebook on registered users front. I personally highly doubt that.

Because if there are that much registered users in a social platform that ONLY GET all financial incentives from its users, how better will a social platform like Steemit will fare, which ACTUALLY PAYS its users and it pays in large amounts too??

It may take years, or months. Mark my words, IT WILL DEFINITELY make it there.

So what does the hacking incident got to do with this growth? Why will it make Steem and Steemit more valuable and popular?

That incident actually have shown to all observers what STUFF the team behind Steemit are made of.

It showed us that, they can act swiftly, decisively and with grace under pressure. They have shown us that they are competent and capable to mitigate damages that could have grown much worse.

It showed us that the TEAM is responsible. It showed us that Steemit, is in GOOD HANDS!

Steemit is like a fetus at this stage, young, vulnerable and have a lot to learn and grow.

Therefore, every attack that wont KILL US will only MAKE US STRONGER.

Congratulations to @ned, @dan and the whole Steem and Steemit team.

From here on, with Steemit's 23,600 users, I would dare to project 3 Billions in 2 years, with Steem price now hovering between 620,000 satoshis and 610,000 satoshis or roughly $4, Can you just imagine how much will Steem be, IF and WHEN we hit that 3B users mark?? With that in mind, take the effort to protect your Steemit accounts.
