My 1 year anniversary on steemit

Good day Steemians!
If I can remember correctly, I joined steemit on the 8th January? I could be wrong since I remember I had to wait about a week for my account to get approved.

It's been a really good year, although I didn't do very much for the first 10months. This was because I was having trouble finding my purpose. Or better yet finding a better way to express myself.
I hope in time this platform will become all that I've been hoping for. So far everyone who I've had interactions with has been amazing, so very helpful, supportive and encouraging. Not to mention the good friends I've made through steemit. I'm impressed with everyone I've seen join steemit after me. I admire some of you so much. The confidence, all the video content you are creating is amazing. So I'd like to also take this opportunity to thank you all for your shares, support, and love for the planet and everyone in it. You're all simply devine!

Anyway, I thought I'd celebrate this moment by sharing my latest sketch and story with you.

I decided to draw a dolphin, I wanted to share something that will spark something within your mind. My thoughts when thinking of what to draw was to try and include all the people I've come to know and all the evern I've come to learn. this dolphin represents everything I've learnt since I've been here. so thank you all once again.

dolphins are highly intelligent marine mammals, they are highly social beings. we still have so much to learn.
Having said that, the shapes represent some of the obstacles we face in life. "we must never give up" we must adapt to our surroundings or we must shape our future. we have the power of intelligence to make better choices in the future.

I'm proud of myself for being here. and I looking forward to what this year will bring us, or better yet, how this year shapes up?
