how to make INSTANT and FREE Steemit accounts WITHOUT phone number or email

Steemit's signup process still isn't working properly. It has been this way since I arrived a year ago, and it has only been getting worse since then, despite calls from the community, and promises from those near the top.

The main issues?

a) Some people don't have a phone number they can use to get a new account.
b) It takes days/weeks for new accounts to be approved. Some accounts are never approved.
c) Alternatives either require an email address or a fee payment.

After much searching and testing, I found a method that requires no phone number, no email address, no fee, and there's no waiting period! This method is perfect for growing your Steemit team, helping a friend or spouse get started on the blockchain, and so on.

It's a simple tool found on the steemconnect site.

You will need:

• a Steemit account with at least 3.0 Steem (Steem, not SP)
• a scrap of paper
• ability to understand and follow the directions below

Yes, you need 3 'liquid' Steem. If you don't have at least 3 Steem available (not powered up), I recommend you don't use the "power down" feature. Instead, convert any SBD, savings, and payouts into Steem, until you have 3.

To make a new account:

1. Right-click here and 'open link in new window'.
2. Enter a Steemit username (that isn't taken) for the new account. All lowercase, no spaces.
3. Carefully write the username and password down on the scrap of paper.
4. In the 'Steem' field, enter "3.000 STEEM".
5. Click 'Continue' (ignore the "Vests' field).
6. Enter your Username and Active key and click 'Sign In' to authorize transfer of the Steem.

When the site says the new account has been created, give the scrap of paper to the owner of the new account. When they first log in to Steemit with that username and password from the scrap of paper, they should click 'My Wallet' and then 'Permissions' to find their private Posting, Active, and Owner keys. They should keep the scrap of paper offline and secure, like in a safe.

The new account will be at 25 reputation, 0.000 Steem, and 3.000 Steem Power (SP). It's ready to begin posting, commenting, and upvoting right away!
