Jobs, jobs, jobs... Our most wanted and our most hated thing in life.

Every man or woman who works all day long always keeps in mind his/her wish to travel and to stay away from work… For a couple of weeks.

And who wouldn’t wait desperately for those vacations, when all we do in our week is to spend the whole day in an office, surrounded by tons of paper and stressed people walking close to your office; doing nothing but sitting in front of a computer?

Other people might do different things according to their job; but, basically, all we do in our week is to spend the biggest part of the day in a place where we’re not making anything but what our boss wants us to do.

In the hope of making something useful for our life, for our family or for someone close to us, we stay in a job years and years, looking at those who can do whatever they want and keep earning even more money than we can do in our jobs.

We ask ourselves: How can he/she work for so short time and earn enough money to be in a good restaurant, buying better clothes and having a car, a good cellphone or even to waste their times in things… We’d like to do..?

As I said in my first post, most of us were educated to be good employees and to think that a normal job is the safest way to survive and to fulfill our life expectations. Most of employees get scared when someone asks them to resign their job.

"I must pay my bills", "I have a lot of huge debts", "How would I survive without my job?". These are things they say... Because they are so busy doing their job so well, they haven't have the time to think about doing something else to reach their financial freedom.

A couple of decades ago, every man and woman in this planet worked hard to be a part of an important enterprise; they studied and competed with hundreds of people to get a job and they grew old so proud of what they did in their life. This is valuable but, as everything in this planet, things tend to change; and as many people expected, there’s no safe job nowadays.

Don’t worry, I’m not talking about getting hurt in a job, I’m talking about the false assurance that we will remain forever in our jobs. Today, if you make a mistake in your job, If the new guy or girl works better than you, or if someone on your job sets you a trap, you would start picking your things because your boss might tell you those words no one wants to hear (you’re fired!). And it is true that most of bosses think about their employees just as disposable objects.

In my life, I’ve been in at least 6 jobs. Every job I get, it was a perfect place to be, I tried my best to work as good as my bosses wanted me to, I won their confidence through being honest and working hard, even beyond their needs… But it wasn’t enough. The truth is that, when bosses want to change a thing in their enterprise, they start with their employees mainly to avoid bigger payments for their employees.

After my last resignation (which was very hard for me), I sat with my girlfriend and talked to her about my situation. I told her about my thoughts and she agreed with me, she asked me to find a good idea to make money without spending hours and hours in a place; I had Robert Kiyosaki’s book, so I started reading it.

As many people said in this wonderful website, we all can come here and share with you what we like to do; we can talk about what’s interesting for us and be rewarded for what we post. I still think this is a good escape from that jail called “job”, we can earn money through good posts and enjoy our free time. However, I know there are many other places where we can go and find our financial freedom without the sacrifice of staying in an office 8 or 14 hours a day. We just need to keep our eyes and our minds wide open.

So my advice for those who still think that a job is the safest way to make money… There’s nothing better than finding the way to do whatever you like to do and be happy earning more money than you use to earn in a normal job.

Sort:

"No mo jobs man I'm sick of these faggots(slang, don't be offended), just over broke(J.O.B.) they'll treat you like maggots"! Become a day-trader and deal with no one and the best part, is that you can trade while traveling :)

That's the point Bro ;) getting a job where you can do what you like knowing you're your only limit

UpVoted! We loved the images, very good content and you give a good Idea! So we better have our own shop, that way no one wouldn't have to deal with a boss and we would spend as much time as we want doing what we like to do

That's a good Idea, ladies  R.K talks about the Cash Flow Quadrant, and says that when a normal employee decides to be his own boss, he becomes an auto-employee :) those are a little difficult things to consider but once you read it, you learn very much

Was thinking about the exact same thing earlier. Is this really my life, to wake up at the crack of dawn, commute to work for an hour, do this shit job for a fat cow , seven days a week, and on and on and on... i need to get out of this rat race! Thanks for the article, good to know there are others who feel my pain. You've got my vote, just wish it was worth something lol

You are not the only one who think like this :D. Unfortunately, lots of people preffers to keep that in mind rather than taking the risk. As Robert Kiyosaki said: "it's not about to change jobs, it is about changing your mind". Well... I did a little of paraphrases because I have the book in spanish
