It's great to have the community taking initiative on things like this. Flagging stuff like this is a good use of steem power.
I would like to say for the average steemit user be cautious when flagging these spammers and scammers. A few will lash out and do everything they can think of to attempt to make your life on steemit (and even outside) difficult.

This is why you're the man. I've never met someone that could tap into Gandhi II mode. This is good to know that there's a place to report this kind of curation net fishing. If this doesn't get pinched now it's going to be the Wild West in here that's worst than pop ups on a porn site with all protection off. It's time to lay down the hammer:

Get active and fight them. I got tired too. They're ruining the Steem experience. This could be very detrimental in the long run.
Agreed. Ever spend time in a phpbb forum back in the day? Then ever go back years later and find it's just crawling with spambots, like a NYC subway that's crawling with rats and cockroaches? I fear that's what we face if we don't do something about it.
I've definitely seen an increase in spam, and it's because of this push to scale the website faster rather than slow and steady.
We're getting a lot of people from social networks where empty engagement is actually encouraged... The SEO calls steemit a 'social media platform', and that's only half of it.
People are coming here thinking they can earn money from posting bs like they do on other networks.
Thanks Drako, I was guilty of not reading all the comments myself as I am sure you read my comments on one posts in particular.. more of a scammer vs spammer. Your post here has given me the insight on why it is extremely important to read all comments before commenting. I did resteem that particular post after I made another comment afterwards so others could see what was happening. Stay diligent my friend as this helps us all. You and others like your self are the ones who will make this the best ever social media ever!! Wrong is wrong and call it as you see it. SENDING YOU LOTS OF ALOHA....MAHALO.
P.S. We forgive for ourselves, it cost them nothing..but we will never be able to forgive ourselves if we allow others to continue their actions when their actions affect a whole community. My cliche motto..screw me once, shame on you..screw me twice..shame on me...Don't allow this to become another facebook..full of spam, scam and viruses..Otherwise we all have failed.
Many newbies aren't aware they are being spammed, especially in the #introduceyourself tag. They spontaneously (and blindly) upvote the "warm welcoming" comments of spammers. Check it out, it's very sad to see.
Guilty as charged but I am a quick learner. lol Thanks for all your help drakos. I am starting to support more those who are helping me, like yourself. Finally feels like swimming in nice comfy warm water with all these friendly helpful whales surrounding me, directing me and protecting me.

The best part is flagging them out is extremely easy, since many of them run on sign-up-delegated power only.
I just saw one of my comments being downvoted. Wondered for a second and looked at the profile of this account. Turns out he's downvoting many posts randomly. Luckily all his own posts are already flagged too. What a spammer! I don't have access to steemit.chat right now so maybe someone else can report this or I'll do it later this day.

Yes, another user has reported them, they've been harassing him too. But they are powerless with their low SP and crappy reputation. Their downvotes do not affect high reputation users.
Yes, thankfully.... sad too see such practices anyway.
ive been at this ALL day! Mr Davinger and his two other accounts are ALMOST finished now.. as is my steem power ;-)
