Steem Rewards Fund Over $1.5 Million
Another interesting milestone for Steem happening now is the value of the rewards pool hitting the $1.5 million mark and going slightly over it. I wrote just 2 hours ago that the total market cap for STEEM, as a currency, hit half a billion dollars.
While the value of the rewards pool in USD is certainly mind boggling, I noticed over the last few weeks a downwards trend for the value in STEEM of it. I didn't make the exact calculations, but I saw it going from about 712,000 to 706,000 in less than 2 weeks. The accelerated "draining" of the rewards pool is probably the best indicator of increased activity in the platform, it means more and more people are contributing and voting on content.

where do you got to see the total rewards fund?
on the right column of steemd.com, it says :
total_reward_fund_steem
0.000 STEEM
doesn't this actually represent the reward fund?
wow how quickly that escalated from $1 Million wow
