Blog and Article Diffrences

What is a blog?

A blog is a frequently updated online personal journal or diary. It is a place to express yourself to the world. A place to share your thoughts and your passions. Really, it’s anything you want it to be. For our purposes we’ll say that a blog is your own website that you are going to update on an ongoing basis. Blog is a short form for the word weblog and the two words are used interchangeably.

A blog originally came from the word “weblog” or a “web log” You can think of it as an online journal or diary, although blogs are used for much more now, like online journalism. Blogs started in the late 1990s as online diaries. Individuals posted information on a daily basis about their lives and opinions. As blogs evolved, interactive features were added to create a two-way conversation. Readers took advantage of features that allowed them to leave comments on blog posts or link to posts on other blogs and websites to further the dialogue.

Finally, if you’re just bored, have too much time, or are exceptionally curious, here are a few super geeky definitions that I came up with: A blog can be whatever you want it to be; it’s not about the what but the why. A blog is a collection of strategically-placed 1’s and 0’s typically called software. Everything is a blog and nothing is a blog, at the same time. Blogging is what you do, what you do not do, and what you wish you had done when you did it.

What is an Article?

An article is an organized way of telling the information which includes a headline, name of the writer/speaker, introduction, body, summary, conclusion, and include detailed research, quote authorities, and source information, and they are less likely to promote conversation or offer the ability to comment. And articles are often several pages long, though they don’t need to be.
An article can be an opinion of an author. Articles are more likely to be fact-based – a simple reporting of the news. (Most items posted on news sites are considered articles, although some have blogs as well.) They are most often formal, structured with a clear introduction, middle, and conclusion, written in the third person, and objective in nature. However, some articles are written with the goal to change the opinion of the reader or move them to action.
