Minnowbooster - What I learnt by Leasing SP for a few weeks

in #steemit6 years ago

Here is what I learnt from paying to borrow Steem Power.

Yup its worth it those who have the power….you get to play as a big spender if only for a couple weeks. It certainly whets your appetite and gets you more involved in the community.

I paid around 26 Steem for 1100 SP delegation for 3 weeks on minnowbooster. Now this was a big step because those Steem took me a long time to accumulate. I was worried it might not be worth it but I'm happy I did so now.

Before borrowing the SP I felt like I was losing interest in Steemit. Having made daily posts I still wasn't really getting anywhere. I think this is a feeling a lot of minnows have. I also don't have money to invest directly into buying Steem so my whole account is based on what I have accumulated from posting and commenting.

The Slider bar!!! Well this was my first time having a slider bar to adjust my voting power. It felt so nice to have! Haha now I no longer have it I feel a little bit inferior on Steemit again. Just a tiny minnow swimming in a sea of whales. It sounds sad but having a 100% upvote of around 80cents was fantastic. I was going crazy with that thing voting on so many posts! It feels good to give!!! Got me wondering why more of the whales on here don't throw out more big upvotes. It's not like it comes out of your own pocket!!

This experience gave me the boost to think big and aim high. It also got me thinking about all the ways I can give to this community and really start to interact. It's how I got the idea to start Steemit Talent Contest. I was thinking to myself what do I love to do? What could I do all day? Watch talent entries!!!! I love all of the talent shows. X Factor, Americas Got Talent you name it I watch them! If you think you have what it takes heres the link to this weeks contest!

Having now started this contest I have decided that I will borrow SP again so that I can upvote all of the contestants properly and not with chump change. I aim to grow into a Steemit whale. It may take a long time but it is important to me to be a part of this wonderful community.

So in conclusion I would like to thank minnowbooster for the opportunity to shine and experience what steemit will be like once I'm more established.

Do you have an experience borrowing SP? I'd love to hear from you in comments or on Steemit-chat. If your new to steemit and thinking about leasing SP just do it!
