According to Wikipedia, “Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. Originating as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or two early saints named Valentinus, Valentine's Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions around the world, although it's not a public holiday in any country.”
A lot of people believe there’s no need for a special day to show love since love should be shown every day. Well, Before I get to know about how you spent your own, Let me tell you people how mine went in few lines.
No one has ever given me a gift on such a special day sha, I think I’m kinda used to staying indoors and probably going to any church later in the evening to attend any love program that’s available.
I was hoping this year will be different tho because I had this special girl I actually wanted to spend the evening with after work. But I guess I was expecting too much as she turned down the offer. Since there was no one to hang out with and I actually did not want to attend any church service, I decided to celebrate it with my online friends by extending my little gifts to as many as I could. A lot of them told me how happy they were with my little token and I had this little satisfaction that I have added a little smile to a lot of people in my own little way.
The evening went ahead to be the most boring and lonely evening in a long while.
Well, that’s my own little story, It’s your turn to tell me how yours went through the comment section
Special Thanks to @sean-king and @adsactly for all the support so far
haha i love your view on how love should be experienced everyday and not only on valentine's day! i agree with you on that! and i am sorry you experienced a lonely day, but im sure that by you spreading the love online was a very nice thing for you to do! and being lonely is necessary for spiritul growth and to love yourself :)
