Boosteroid platform

Boosteroid is a new unique platform that is a cloud service that offers its users convenient access to the data store, software products and other features.

This platform will help you to abandon expensive personal computers and use Boosteroid in everyday life at a low cost.

Boosteroid is a cloud services platform that provides easy access to computing resources, storage (SSD), software products and other functions. The service will allow to abandon expensive personal computers in favor of a powerful computing "cloud" with a convenient interface and simple control.

The hardware on which the platform is built will look like this:

Processor Intel Xeon E5, E7 v4 or 5;
AMD EPYC 7000 series;
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti;
NVIDIA Tesla P100, Tesla V100 and AMD Radeon Instinct graphics accelerators;
Accelerator Intel Xeon Phi 7000 series.

Goal

Develop an intuitive interface that provides convenient work in the cloud and provide quick access to Boosteroid services. Users will be able to connect to the cloud computer via VPN and use specific applications, models and games.

To start using the service, the user needs to register on the site or in the application, providing them with e-mail or login and password.

Problems and solutions

Problem:

According to the US consulting firm Gartner, the total cost of users of the "cloud" amounted to 209.2 billion US dollars in 2016, while in 2015 there were 175 billion dollars. Thus, user costs increased by $ 35 billion per year. Given the forecasts of analysts, the cost of the cloud will exceed 380 billion US dollars by 2020.

Such a high demand for these services is caused by the active transition of IT industry data to the cloud. Accordingly, information technology increasingly requires high-performance resources to solve a number of problems from research into artificial intelligence to games, VR, or analytics (large data analytics).

Today, more than 70% of the market is occupied by leading suppliers. The table below shows the average cost per hour for the computer node of two Intel Xeon processors E5 2680v4, RAM 256Gb, SSD 960Gb, and 8 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti video cards offered by market leaders (Amazon, Microsoft, Google) for Europe:

Decision:

In October 2016, we started working on the Boosteroid project to make cloud computing as accessible as possible.

Our team consists of professionals in information technology and artificial intelligence. Initially, we were building compute nodes on the basis of NVIDIA 6/8 graphics cards and Intel's Xeon processors, which we used to conduct complex calculations in artificial intelligence. To ensure high-performance equipment is not idle, we rented it and engaged in the production of crypto currency.

We got our experience and found out that due to our own software architecture and in full, the cost of cloud computing is significantly reduced. Thus, we can provide a service at a price much lower than the leading players in the market. A low rental price will be Boosteroid available to every user of the World Wide Web.

How does it work

We will develop an exchange service that will allow you to make quick exchange between the US, BTC, Eth and BTR without registration and trading on external exchanges. Users will be able to pay in US dollars, BTC, Eth and BTR badges.

Exchange service will be integrated into the web interface, where payment for the rental of processing power will be made.

The exchange rate and payment requisites will be displayed there. The exchange rate will be close to the fact that the exchanges will be crypto-currency and will be updated within a certain period of time. There will be a small fee for exchange operations.

The exchanger will have reserves in US dollars, BTC, Eth and BTR. Requests for exchange will be processed immediately. If the stock of certain currency ends, the exchange service will automatically order it on external digital currency exchanges.

Exchange service will be launched on a separate server and connected to external exchanges, traditional payment systems and crypto-currency wallets. The service will have an open API to accept exchange requests and inform about the current exchange rate and eserves status.

Token

The total amount of output is 1 billion. tokens. They are called BTR tokens. After the completion of ICO Boosteroid, additional tokens will not be released, and all unused will be destroyed. They are created on the Ethereum blockchain platform under the ERC20 labeling standard.

The expansion of capacity, the acquisition of equipment and the number of BTR tokens taken depend on the amount of investment that will be attracted during the ICO.

Author's opinion (total)

As a person who has been working in this field for more than 5 years, I can withdraw a review - the Boosteroid project, has a very good potential for development in the market. At the moment, peak processing power is more than 0.5 petaflops. The closest competitors to the sphere are the giants like Amazon, Google, IBM. But they all have a number of differences from Boosteroid, namely:

Boosteroid is positioned as a "project for anyone who wants to." While the "giants" provide their cloud solutions only for corporate clients;
Price. The cost of renting the computing power of Boosteroid is the lowest in the market. For comparison, the cost of renting Amazon is $ 30 per hour (!) And it's on about the same iron;
Loyalty of the project. Here I want to note the following points. Boosteroid plans to send 10% of its computing power to the development of start-up projects. Which is very commendable. Another project is developing in the field of artificial intelligence. I think this direction is very promising, and you?
