B.S. Meter
We all have one. I was just listening to what I hoped would be an information video. When the announcer introduced an email hoop to jump through to receive the information, my B.S. meter went off and I moved on. There is no need to know my email address. When they used it as a condition, I left quickly.
If Steemit ever requires a cash contribution up front, it will set off the B.S. meter for the general public. I joined Steemit based on a personal testimony of a friend. He promised an opportunity to earn with no cash required. He spoke the truth!
I have spoken the same truth to my family and friends without much success. These people know and trust me, but have other ways to earn.
Steemit is meant for people who are not able to earn or have uncommon vision. Perhaps SMT’s will provide additional incentives to attract those who are unable to find motivation in the current system.
Almost everyone on the planet has the capacity to earn value here. What most lack is the motivation.
The future will show opportunities to motivate the world. The tools are being built for creative geniuses to exploit.

Interesting thought on people having other ways to earn. It might be a hard sell if we’re talking about earning. I say it’s a place to get compensated doing what you already do on current social media platforms!

In steemit the The future is now.
If it was required to make an upfront payment to start here my BS radar would have been going off for sure. It's a little different to invest money once your here and want to gain voting power, but to be required up front just doesn't make sense.
