[DTube Exclusive] First Love - Don't Jump Ship - Son interrupts and says "Hi DTube" again! 3x now
So I'll be the first to admit that a few days ago, I tried some different platforms. Until then, all I had used on the Steem Blockchain was steemit.com and @dtube. A lot of people have been comparing platforms. I think it's just human nature to do that, but I believe that platforms can co-exist. DLive for example specializes in livestreams like facebook live or google live. DTube is more of a video sharing platform like vimeo or YouTube.
In this video, I talk about what I'll be doing moving forward, which is continue to make DTube exclusive videos, while checking out other platforms. I still 200% believe in DTube and what it has to offer the world. Will there be similar platforms? Yeah sure, but DTube is my first love here on the blockchain and you never really forget your first love. I think it's wise also, if you're going to try other platforms, to not forget your first love. My encouragement is that you keep posting here on DTube and make exclusive content here. It's a platform that has a bright future and it's still in beta. I think sometimes we forget that we are still in 0.7
Anyhow, this is my opinion, let me know what your plans are moving forward and what you think!

I think Steemit and Dtube just don't have enough exposure at the moment. The way I found out about Steemit was from researching various cryptocurrencies and I came across Steemit and found out that I could post blogs and videos and get paid for it. It has been a struggle, and watching Steem hover around $2 when it was over $4 a few weeks ago puts a bit of a damper on things. But, like you said, maybe there will be an upswing and maybe we should just HODL. I agree that we shouldn't just jump ship when this could be the next huge social media platform and it could eventually get closer to Facebook or Instagram or youtube in terms of popularity. Great videos also great editing too. I have watched several of your videos and it is very clear that you are serious about the platforms

So yeah, I agree that they don't have enough exposure at the moment. That could be a good thing and a bad thing. Mostly a good thing IMO right now. The platform is growing and team is making sure that it's running smoothly. Remember we're not even in 1.0 right now. We're in 0.7. And Steemit is also in Beta as well. Time will tell, but I think the community is big enough and strong enough that it'll stay in the eye of the storm until it passes.

People will sadly often jump a ship especially in the world of crypto, Steemit is element of social media and is part of crypto, I think that people who are not in the world of crypto will get scared firstly. But yeah I agree I think it is a bad thing to jump a ship from DTube to DLive(vice versa) I´ve seen a lot of people doing it. I think that a success of ALL the platforms here is important for the success of Steemit and all those platforms.

The future for these platforms I believe are great, we just need to give it some time and patience and don't panic over every movement in the market.
If you ever doubt just look at all the projects that are being developed on the Steem blockchain, Dtube, Dmania, Dlive with many other and then you will see that this is just gonna grow even dough we will encounter down periods in the market.
And also just look back at the Steem price for like 6 months and you will see that we are still at a high level, even dough all of us wants it to fly to the moon :D
